The NFHR Board of Directors has announced the 2010 NFHR Annual Meeting and Education Forum (January 15 – 17, 2010) will be held in Herndon, Virginia at the Dulles Crowne Plaza Hotel. The Education Forum on January 15th and 16th will feature several major speakers on topics important to the Fjord and horse communities. The final agenda and registration form for the Education Forum will be announced no later than September, 2009. Participants will be able to visit with numerous vendors of goods and services relating to Fjords. There will be daily drawings for door prizes and a silent auction.

The NFHR Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. There also will be an open discussion period preceding the meeting from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The NFHR Annual Meeting is open to all NFHR members. While no charge is associated with the NFHR Annual Meeting, participants are encouraged to pre-register if they are planning to attend.

The Education Forum offers exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities, as well as “Take One” table for flyers. A prospectus on the fees for exhibitors and sponsors will be available no later than September. Silent auction items will be solicited as well. The NFHR Annual Meeting and Education Forum is a great setting to market your Fjord related goods or service, as well as network with other Fjord owners and fanciers. You do not have to be an NFHR member to participate in the Education Forum.

Located just 5 miles from Dulles Airport and 25 miles outside of Washington, DC, the Dulles Crowne Plaza offers a variety of amenities for participants. The hotel is a business class hotel with an indoor swimming pool, free wi-fi, and in-room refrigerators. The rooms are spacious and are being offered at a group rate of $75 plus tax per night. The hotel offers FREE shuttle service to and from Dulles Airport. FREE covered parking is available to those driving to the hotel. This location is steps away from a variety of restaurants, shops, and movie theatres. The hotel also offers free transportation to the Smithsonian’s Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum.
