b'FROM THE EDITORThis issue is overflowing with stories, photos, and remembrances! You all have been quite active with your Fjords, and it is well reflected in these pages. Again this year I made my annual trek to Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, for the Villa Louis Carriage Classic. Phil Odden wrote an article to accompany the professional photographs, which were graciously donated for our use here. It seems to me as I perused social media and attended in-person events, that the number of Fjords out in public has increased this year. Keep up the effort of showing the world these highly talented horses in the many areas in which they excel. Sadly, we remember two stallions, who each left a legacy in the breed. Thank you to the dozens of people who submitted photos and remembrances. In this issue, we celebrate the addition of two Fjords to the rolls of Award of Excellence: CCF Snovit and DC Dagney. Congratulations to Jessica Reuterskiold and Lindy Hild, respectively! We also celebrate the people and Fjords who successfully completed the NFHR Evaluation. It is no small undertaking to host, and organize, an event so necessary to the future of the breed. In closing, I wish you a warm and safe winter. May you find peace in your daily activities, fullness of heart as you spend time with your four-legged family, andI especially wish for you to find satisfaction in knowing that your membership DOES make a difference in the promotion and sustainability of the magnificent purebred Norwegian Fjord Horse.Michele HarnEnjoying the fall season and finally relief from the West Tennessee heat!Always love an opportunity to wear my fancy driving hats!
